Curator of Living Library

Greetings People of the Reflection!

General Balio here. Things are heating up here in the Living Tale. The Tool senses that a new character is being woven into Henley's story and he is doing what he can to stop it. To give you a debriefing of this matter I have brought with me the curator of the Living Library. For security reasons his name can not be divulged until he is unveiled in the next book. So for now we will call him Curator M. To keep things straight we will put his comments in red.

Hello, Curator M.

General Balio... I must protest. This sort of thing is highly unusual for a character of my caliber.

Now Curator, push up your spectacles, take a deep breath, and let's get on with this.

Oh, all right. If I must. Do proceed, General, but remember I am not suited for espionage. I record and catalogue stories for the Gardener, not fight battles, as you.

Don't get your feathers in a bundle, Curator. This will only take a moment, and besides our readers are eager to know what is happening to Henley between books.

Well, when you put it that way. Proceed, General, I am quite ready now.

Good. Let's start with who you are.

I am Curator M, as you put it, and I am in the process of recording Henley's story. At present, I am in the Living Library, covering for you I might add, reading to the children.

And I am grateful for it, Curator. As we are amassing glones in the third book to assist the Banks family. So, you said you are reading to the children. Does that make you the narrator of the next book?

Indeed I am. And I am not sure I will survive the action scenes. Have you seen what the Tool tries to do to that young lady?

Now, Curator, careful what you say. You could ruin the whole tale for the children.

My apologies. I do not cross the time barrier as much as you do, and have not grown accustomed to talking to people surrounded by days and seasons. What skills they must have to navigate it.

Most do well over there, but some complain of time's twists and turns. Back to our subject, the next book. You mentioned a girl. What role does she play in the next book.

Ah yes, Miss M, as I will call her. Her story is being knit into Henley's tale, for he will need her and her tools in the third book.

What about the Banks?

The readers will see a lot of Mr. Banks in his camoflouge, but that is all I am at liberty to disclose.

No need to get technical. I think the readers will understand you can't tell us anymore right now.

Quite right.

What about the location. Where will you take our readers?

Most of the next book is in the deserts of Iraq amongst archeologists and special forces, and Shernod of course.

Well, Curator M, I can tell by the glow on my sword that I am needed elsewhere in the Garden. Thank you for talking to our readers.

You're welcome, General. But one question before you go?

Yes.

The children are growing as I read. Is this normal?

Yes it is. It happens every time they read good stories; the Garden's stories are fertilizer to their seeds of greatness. I'm off!

Oh dear. How do I end this thing? And here I am fumbling with my glasses and you all staring at me for more. I suppose I can return again and tell you a little more some time. Until then enjoy life in the Reflection and see you on the inside.
